[Sv] Runt om i Karlskrona stad och skärgård så kan man se vitgröna gjutjärnskors utplacerade. Detta är Coldinukors och de är utplacerade och underhålls av ett ordenssällskap som heter Kronans Coldin, en orden som funnits i Karlskrona sedan mitten av 1700-talet. Ett femtiotal likadana kors står på uddar, skär, klippor eller på grynnor ute i vattnet som ett slags sjömärken. När denna tradition uppstod så fanns inte det system med sjömärken så som vi känner det idag, därför blev detta ett sätt att hjälpa sjöfarten att navigera i skärgården. Med dagens teknologi så har korsens funktion som sjömärken till största delen blivit ersatt, så idag utgör de främst historiska symboler. Ett fåtal kors står även inne på land, på platser med en viss historisk betydelse. Det kors som finns vid denna cachens startpunkt är en typisk sådan placering.
Kronans Coldin är en så kallad koloni inom Coldinuorden och det finns kolonier även i Stockholm, Göteborg och Helsingfors. Även i och kring dessa städer finns Coldinukors utplacerade, men då i andra färger. Orden är hemlig i den bemärkelsen att ritualer och historiska kunskaper inte får avslöjas för utomstående, men dess existens är inte hemlig.
Korsen tillverkades från början i trä men deras livslängd blev inte så lång. 1817 började man använda gjutna kors och nu på senare tid tillverkas korsen i kompositmaterial. Korsen är alltid vända mot söder och på baksidan mot norr står årtalet för den ursprungliga utplaceringen samt initialerna för den person som styrde ordensällskapet vid tiden för utplaceringen. Varje år i augusti hålls en ritual där ordensällskapet antingen inviger (planterar) ett nytt kors eller återinviger ett renoverat.
Som kuriosa kan nämnas att det finns ett Coldinukors på ön Saint-Barthélemy i Karibien, som ett minne från tiden när ön var en svensk koloni. Det står placerat på den Svenska kyrkogården i huvudorten Gustavia.

Loggningskrav:
För att få logga denna virtuella cache så måste ni hitta och fotografera fem olika Coldinukors. Korset vid startpunkten måste vara ett av dessa fem. Övriga fyra kors väljer ni fritt från den lista av platser som finns angivna som waypoints. Listan kan komma att ändras ifall något lämpligt kors tillkommer eller försvinner.
På varje foto skall, utöver korset, även någon del av dig eller din GPS synas, alternativt en lapp eller skylt med ditt/ert Geocaching-nick. Fotografierna behöver inte vara tagna samma dag men det måste tydligt synas att de är tagna vid ett vitt Coldinukors likt det på startpunkten. Låt även bakgrunden synas på fotot så att det tydligt framgår var korset som fotograferats är placerat.
Bifoga samtliga fem foton med er logg på nätet. Ni behöver inte skicka era foton till cacheägaren på annat sätt, det räcker att de finns med i loggen. Loggar som inte uppfyller kraven kan komma att raderas utan förvarning.
[En] In the city of Karlskrona and in the surrounding archipelago, you can see white and green cast iron crosses deployed. These are Coldinu crosses and they are deployed and maintained by an order society called Kronans Coldin, an order that has existed in Karlskrona since the middle of the 18th century. About fifty identical crosses stand on headlands, skerries, rocks or crevices out in the water as a kind of sea mark. When this tradition started, there was no system of sea marks as we know it today, therefore this became a way to help ships navigate the archipelago. With today's technology, the function of the cross as a sea mark has largely been replaced, so today they are primarily historical symbols. A few also stand on land, in places with a certain historical significance. The cross found at the starting point of this cache is a typical such location.
Kronans Coldin is a so-called colony within the Coldinuorden and there are also colonies in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Helsinki. Coldinu crosses are also deployed in and around these cities, but in different colors. The order is secret in the sense that rituals and historical knowledge may not be revealed to outsiders, but its existence is not secret.
The crosses were originally made of wood, but their lifespan was not that long. In 1817, cast iron crosses began to be used, and more recently the crosses are made of composite materials. The crosses are always facing south and on the back facing north you can see the year of the original deployment, together with the initials for the person leading the orden at the time of the deployment. Every year in August, a ritual is held where the order either inaugurate a new cross or rededicate a renovated one.
As a fun fact, it can be mentioned that there is a Coldinu cross on the island of Saint-Barthélemy in the Caribbean, as a memory from the time when the island was a Swedish colony. The cross is located at the Swedish cemetery in the largest city Gustavia.
Logging requirements:
In order to log this virtual cache, you must find and photograph five different Coldinu crosses. The cross at the starting point must be one of these five! The other four crosses are to be choosen from the list of locations listed as Waypoints. This list may change over time if suitable crosses appears or disappears.
On each photo, in addition to the cross, some part of you or your GPS must also be visible, alternatively a note or sign with your Geocaching nickname. The photographs do not have to be taken on the same day, but it must be clearly visible that they were taken at a white Coldinu cross like the one at the starting point. Also let the background be visible so it clearly shows where the cross that is being photographed is located.
Attach all five photos with your online log. You do not need to send your photos to the cache owner in any other way, it is enough that they are in the log. Logs that do not meet the requirements may be deleted without warning.
