Geocache Description:

Port Macquarie began it's life as a penal settlement, lasting from April 1821 to June 1832. The settlement peaked with 1500 convicts in 1825.  Standing here at Gaol Point you are overlooking Town Beach, Mrs. York's Garden & the breakwall where the Hastings flows into the sea.

To log this cache , find a plaque "In Memory of the Port Macquarie Pioneer Families from 1821-2017"

What was the name of the family who proudly donated it.

Send me a message with your answer.  A photo of yourself, GPS or cache name, would be appreciated but not necessary when you post your found it log.

See if you can spot a whale, they pass by this point from May to November
