Im Jahr 1974 wurden zwei Bronzefiguren aufgestellt. Sie sind nicht real, sondern eine Schöpfung des Hänneschen-Theaters (Puppenhaus). Tünnes und Schäl sind kölsche Originale. Die Idee zu den beiden Figuren hat eine lange Vorgeschichte. Außerdem spielen die beiden Kölner Kultfiguren auch die Rolle im Karneval.
Tünnes ist der bäuerlich-kräftige Kerl. Er trägt einen blauen Kittel, eine helle Hose, ein rotes Halstuch und Holzschuhe.
Tünnes trinkt gerne Kölsch, weshalb er auch Stoffel genannt wird. Daher hat er eine dicke, rote Knollennase. Und er redet und schwatzt viel kölsch. „Tünnes“ ist ein Kölschwort für Anton, aber auch für „dumm“. Das ist der Grund, warum er dumm ist, aber manchmal auch liebenswert.
Seine Nase an der Bronzefigur „Tünnes“ ist schon ganz golden gerieben, denn das Anfassen der Knollennase bringt Glück!
Schäl ist ein kleiner Schurke mit großen Ansprüchen. Seine Kleidung ist ein feiner schwarzer Frack und eine Melone (Hut). Seine Augen stehen so überkreuzt. Der arme Kerl, es tut schon weh, ihn anzusehen. „Schäl“ ist auch das kölsche Wort für „schielend“.
Von den beiden gibt es unzählige Witze. Hier ein Beispiel zum Lachen:
Tünnes und Schäl sind auf der Beerdigung von ihrem Freund Peter. Der Schäl wirft dem Sarg ein Strauß Blumen nach, der Tünnes wirft zwei Frikadellen hinterher. Schäl:“ Tünnes, bist du jeck? Was soll der Peter damit, er kann doch nicht mehr essen.“ Darauf sagt der Tünnes:“ Ja, glaubst du denn, dass er deine Blumen in die Vase stellt?

- von dir (nur wenn du willst) oder
- von Deiner Hand (z.B. Zeigefinger, Daumen hoch, Herz formen) oder
- von einem cachertypischen Gegenstand (TB, GPS-Gerät, Maskottchen, Cachername etc.)
mit den Figuren im Hintergrund und lade es zusammen mit Deinem Log hoch.
Das Log ohne Foto bzw. Tünnes und Schäl nicht drauf wird kommentarlos gelöscht.

Two bronze figures were placed in 1974. They are not real, but a creation of the Hänneschen theatre (puppet house). Tünnes and Schäl are Cologne originals. The idea for the two figures has a long history. The two Cologne cult figures also play a role in carnival.
Tünnes is the strong, rustic chap. He wears a blue smock, light-coloured trousers, a red scarf and wooden clogs.
Tünnes likes to drink Kölsch, which is why he is also called boor. That's why he has a thick, red bulbous nose. And he talks and chats a lot in Kölsch. "Tünnes" is a Kölsch word for Anton, but also for "stupid". That's why he's stupid, but sometimes also endearing.
His nose on the bronze figure "Tünnes" is already rubbed all golden, because touching the bulbous nose brings good luck!
Schäl is a little rogue with big aspirations. He is dressed in a fine black tailcoat and a bowler hat. His eyes are so crossed. Poor chap, it hurts to look at him. "Schäl" is also the kölsch word for "cross-eyed".
There are countless jokes about the two of them. Here's an example to make you laugh:
Tünnes and Schäl are at the funeral of their friend Peter. Schäl throws a bunch of flowers after the coffin, Tünnes throws two meatballs after it. Schäl: "Tünnes, are you being silly? What's Peter supposed to do with them, he can't eat any more?" Then Tünnes says: "Yes, do you think he'll put your flowers in the vase?

Then take a photo of them (just the two of them, not a figure, not a shop), though ...
- of you (only if you want to) or
- of your hand (e.g. index finger, thumbs up, shape heart) or
- of a typical cacher object (TB, GPS device, mascot, name of cacher etc.)
with the figures in the background and upload it together with your log.
The log without a photo will be deleted without comment.
