Geocache Description:

When I accidently passed by this one day not realizing it was here, I immediately thought of the The virtual geocache Cloud Gate aka The Bean in Chicago.

GCJZDR

Visitors to the Mississippi River levee in downtown Baton Rouge can see a new sculpture and hear it make music inspired by the river. The sculpture is reflective and lights up at night, making it visible even from the Mississippi River bridge. This can be done as a night cache as well. But most impressive is its ability to interact with the surroundings. Appropriately named "Sing The River," the sculpture is connected to sensors in the mighty Mississippi River and plays music that corresponds with the rise and fall of the water. This sculpture on the Mississippi River levee is a new must-see spot in Baton Rouge bucket.

The sculpture was designed by California-based artist Po Shu Wang and gifted to the City-Parish of Baton Rouge by the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge.

To log this cache, post a picture of yourself/group, a picture of your geocaching nickname, or a thumb. Just something that identifies you with the date in the picture. This photo should be taken from the levee near the sculpture. Not from the street below or at a distance. If you're not doing this it is taking away from the experience. Any pictures not taken on the levee next to the sculpture with something to identify you will result in your log being deleted beginning 9/5/24.
