Stora torg i Halmstad
Torget har sitt ursprung i stadens handelsplats under medeltiden och här finns mycket historia.
Vid torget ligger Sankt Nikolai kyrka från 1300-talet som är Halmstads enda bevarade medeltidsbyggnad. Korsvirkeshuset i närheten av kyrkan är från 1700-talet och har varit både hospital och öllager. Statyn och fontänen Europa och Tjuren av Carl Milles uppfördes 1926.

Stora torg in Halmstad
The square has its origins in the city's trading center during the Middle Ages and there is a lot of history here.
By the square is Sankt Nikolai church from the 14th century, which is Halmstad's only preserved medieval building. The half-timbered house near the church dates from the 18th century and has been both a hospital and a beer warehouse. The statue and fountain Europa och Tjuren by Carl Milles was erected in 1926.
