Geocache Description:


Osaka Castle's predecessor was Osaka Hongan-ji Temple (Ishiyama Hongan-ji Temple) during the Sengoku period, and was fought during the Battle of Ishiyama against Oda Nobunaga, built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, fell during the Osaka Shogun, rebuilt by the Tokugawa Shogunate, burnt down during the Meiji Restoration turmoil, and after the Meiji Restoration. It has been under the jurisdiction of the Japanese Army and maintained a deep relationship with the history of Japan since the end of the war. All of the old buildings that can be seen today, such as the stone walls, moats, Otemon Gate, Tamon Yagura, and Sengan Yagura, date back to the Tokugawa period.The entire area is designated as a special national historic site, and most of the old buildings are designated as important cultural properties.
The castle tower is the third generation, following the Toyotomi and Tokugawa eras, and was rebuilt in 1931 with donations from citizens. It has a history of over 90 years and has been designated as a nationally registered cultural property.


The public coordinates are the "Keep" of Osaka Castle. To log the cache, please meet the following requirements.
1. Visit the "keep" of Osaka Castle.
2. Enter the "keep", take a picture, and upload it to the log. Missing or questionable photos will be removed at the owner's discretion. Please understand.

Remarks:Modest admission fee (1,200JPY Adult) is required to pay.
