Der Stubaier Gletscher ist der Name für ein Gletscherskigebiet in Österreich im Bundesland Tirol und liegt nordöstlich der Stubaier Wildspitze (3.341 m). Die Anfahrt erfolgt durch das Stubaital. Das Skigebiet liegt in einer Höhenlage zwischen 1.695 und 3.210 Metern. Und hier am höchsten Punkt des Skigebiets auf 3.210 Metern über N. N. hat man auf der Aussichtsplattform „Top of Tyrol“ bei guter Fernsicht eine Aussicht über 109 Dreitausender! Die Zeitschrift GEO erwähnte Top of Tyrol in einem Artikel als eine von 10 weltweit architektonisch besonderen Aussichtsplattformen. Was liegt also näher als hier einen virtual zu legen?
Da das Skigebiet nicht nur als Skigebiet sondern auch als hochalpines Wandergebiet genutzt wird kann dieser Virtual auch zu Fuß erreicht werden.
Logbedingungen:
Um diesen Virtual zu loggen müsst ihr euch auf die Aussichtsplattform begeben. Diese erreicht ihr vom Ausgang der Bergstation Schaufeljoch über Treppen und ist je nach Wetterverhältnis das ganze Jahr über erreichbar. Der Zutritt zur Plattform ist kostenlos. The Stubai Glacier is the name for a glacier ski area in Austria in the state of Tyrol and is located northeast of the Stubaier Wildspitze (3,341 m). The journey takes place through the Stubaital. The ski area is at an altitude of between 1,695 and 3,210 meters.
