Le Centre Pompidou-Metz est un centre d'art dédié à l'art moderne et contemporain. Il est la première expérience originale de décentralisation d'un établissement public culturel national, en l'occurence le Centre Pompidou de Paris, réalisée avec l'Eurométropole de Metz. C'est bien l'un des rares monuments messins à ne pas avoir de cache qui lui soit dédiée. Il nous semblait donc évident d'y remédier avec cette virtuelle. Sa construction débute en 2006 sur d'anciennes friches ferroviaires et il ouvre ses portes en 2010. Avec son architecture atypique et une surface d'un peu plus de 5 000 m2, le bâtiment est spacieux sur un plan hexagonal et est traversé par trois galeries. La structure se développe autour d'un mât central de 77 m de haut, référence au Centre Pompidou de Paris, ouvert en 1977.

The Center Pompidou-Metz is an art center dedicated to modern and contemporary art.
