Geocache Description:

The large lacolith Navajo Mountain dominates the landscape east of Page, Lake Powell, and the Navajo Nation nearby. It captures our imagination as it stands so majestically alone. At the coordinates, you will find information about its formation.  As you explore the southwest, you will find other mountains which formed in this interesting manner. A second sign next to this one explains the reverence the native peoples have for this mountain, and its influence in their lives. The smaller feature to the left is Tower Butte.

To log this virtual:

1. Describe in your public log how you feel while gazing upon the treasure we call Navajo Mountain.
2. Attach a photo of yourself to your log with Navajo Mountain in the background. See the two photos I have attached for examples. Either style will do.

Many thanks to the Canyon Club of Page for providing this wonderful interpretive display. 👏
