Geocache Description:

(Please be aware: This cache is located along the Evansville Riverfront, coordinates are a couple hundred feet off. I'll fix them as soon as I'm able. I apologize for the inconvenience! This is a pretty well known spot so I figured I'd leave this active while waiting to update coords.)

The Evansville Korean War Memorial along the banks of the Ohio River captures the tragedy and fatigue of those who fought. The three sculpted figures in battle fatigues wear beleaguered expressions. Two men help their wounded comrade as they move along rugged ground. The sculptures are set in a half circle monument ground with flags behind and pedestal in front. The pedestal contains a bronze map of the Korean Peninsula and a brief description of the war with U.S. casualty figures at the bottom. The memorial is dedicated to all those in all the military services who served in Korea. The sculptured figures are very similar to those on the nearby Desert Storm/Desert Shield memorial as they are carved by the same artist.

Please take a picture at the location with either yourself or gps in the picture to prove you were there! Logs without proof of visitation will be deleted.
