Commissioned for the 100th anniversary of the Alberta Teachers Association, this statue depicts a child standing on the shoulders of a teacher. There is also a hopscotch game built into the walk leading towards the door of the building.
The coordinates will lead you to a plaque which gives a bit of background about the statue and why the ATA commissioned it. There is parking (15 minutes ONLY) nearby. Examine the statue for answers to the questions.

I have have deep connections with teachers: my father was connected with the same school (in Toronto) as a teacher, then administrator for 50 years; my wife has just retired as a teacher after 45 years.
