Geocache Description:

A Spirograph or a Mosaic?

Pop Pop, Georick402, tells me about a toy from the early 1960s that this reminds him of. Pop Pop said it was called Spirograph. I had to do some research on this so-called Spirograph.

According to Wikipedia, Spirograph is a geometric drawing device that produces mathematical roulette curves of the variety technically known as hypotrochoids and epitrochoids. The well-known toy version was developed by British engineer Denys Fisher and first sold in 1965.

Wikipedia also states that it was relaunched worldwide in 2013. I myself have never heard of it or seen one, but it looks interesting and fun.

As you stand at the posted coordinates, you'll agree with me that it is a Mosaic and not a Spirograph. I do understand how Pop Pop says it reminds him of a Spirograph.

The posted coordinates will bring you to a location in Mylan Park.

Over the past 20 years, Mylan Park has grown from four baseball and softball fields into a  full-service sports, recreation, wellness, and events complex spanning across 400 beautiful acres. Mylan Park is also proud to be home to a variety of social, training, and educational organizations operating within the park footprint and serving the greater Morgantown community daily through their nonprofit and service-oriented missions.

Today, Mylan Park is recognized as one of West Virginia’s most dynamic venues for users and events of all walks. Owned and operated by the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Mylan Park Foundation, Mylan Park now offers 14 different indoor and outdoor facilities comprising over 60 acres of athletic field space and more than 180,000 sq. ft. of indoor sport, recreation, and event venues. Each unique component of the park serves to ensure that there is something for everyone and that Mylan Park is truly a place the entire community can enjoy.

INCLUDE YOUR PHOTO WITH YOUR LOG. DO NOT MESSAGE OR EMAIL ME THE PHOTO. In order to claim this virtual, I'm going to keep it short and simple. All I ask is that you take a photo of yourself, or an identifiable item, at the posted coordinates with the Mosaic behind you. You do not have to show your face in the photo. INCLUDE YOUR PHOTO WITH YOUR LOG. DO NOT MESSAGE OR EMAIL ME THE PHOTO.

To make Georick402 happy, you can include a spirograph drawing in your photo.
