About Piratemania
Piratemania is a distinctive pirate-themed geocaching event held annually during the summer months. Thousands of geocachers dress up as pirates and take part in silly games, challenges and seek treasure hidden in the area.
In 2024 Piratemania comes to Dinton Pastures under the title 'Piratemania 16 - Eight Bells Nigh!'
In addition to this Virtual, there are two circuits of physical caches to find suiting all ages and abilities.
Logging Requirements
1/ At the published coordinates, locate the red sign on the back of the board. What is the last word on the first line?
2/ At the waypoint, what large insect can you see on the wall?
3/ Send your answers as a message to PirateMania Crew. Include your caching name.
4/ Take a photograph of yourself (or your GPS receiver and your caching name) and submit it with your log. Pirate themed photos are particularly desirable. Perhaps you can show a boat in the picture.
You may submit your log provided these tasks have been completed. Logs not meeting the criteria may be deleted.

Piratemania ist ein jährlich stattfindendes Mega event mit Piraten Thema, welches in den Sommermonaten stattfindet. Tausende von Geocachern verkleiden sich als Piraten und nehmen an Spielen, Challenges und nehmen an der Schatzsuche teil.
Im Jahre 2024 kommt 'Piratemania 16 - Eight Bells Nigh!' nach Dinton Pastures.
Zusätzlich zu diesem virtuellen Cache gibt es zwei Loops physischer Caches, die für alle Altersgruppen und Fähigkeiten ausgelegt worden sind.
Anforderungen für das Loggen
1/ An den veröffentlichten Koordinaten, finde das rote Schild auf der Rückseite der Info-Tafel. Was ist das letzte Wort in der ersten Zeile?
2/ An dem Wegpunkt (Question 2), Welches große Insekt kannst du an der Wand sehen?
3/ Sende Deine Antworten und caching name als Nachricht an die Piratemania-Crew.
4/ Mache ein Foto von Dir selbst und/oder deinem GPS (wenn es geht mit caching namen), welches das vielleicht ein Boot Boot auf dem Wasser zeigt und füge es dem log hinzu. Über photos mit Piraten Thema wuerden wir uns sehr freuen.
Der Cache kann direkt gelogged werden. Logs, die nicht den Kriterien entsprechen, werden gelöscht.

Cap'n's Log
To scribe your diary do them things 'ere at the booty site:
1/ Seek the place on your treasure map. What be last word o' the first line o' red n' white script?
2/ Go t' other place on your map. What big monster can you see on the broadside of the big wooden wall?
3/ Send your letters of marque by clipper t' PirateMania Crew.
4/ Do a portrait of your good self or your mappy thing maybe showin' a clipper on the high seas o' Dintons 'n post it to the old salt. Your best sea dog picture will save you from the cat o'nine tails.
You may send your pigeon right away. Get it right or you'll be walkin' the plank!
