Welcome
Welcome to Greater Cincinnati at Fountain Square!
Located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, the Tyler Davidson Fountain, also known as The Genius of Water, stands as the city’s symbol. Dedicated to the "People of Cincinnati" in 1871, this 43-foot-tall bronze masterpiece pays tribute to the vital role of water, with its central figure—a heroic female—gracefully pouring water from her outstretched hands. Set atop a granite pedestal, the fountain features intricate reliefs depicting water’s significance in industry, agriculture, navigation, and daily life. Surrounding sculptures showcase touching human interactions with water, while ornate drinking fountains add a functional charm. Crafted from cannon bronze and Danish granite, this beloved landmark continues to captivate visitors, one of the area's most-visited attractions.
