Ich habe einen Virtual Reward 4.0 gewonnen und darf einen dieser seltenen Geocaches in Münster auslegen. Das mache ich natürlich sehr gerne und führe Euch zum Ahlener Mammut, dem Prunkstück des Geomuseums der Universität Münster. An den Koordinaten könnt Ihr es im großen Schaufenster des Museums sehen.
Natürlich lohnt sich auch ein Besuch der Ausstellungen (die Öffnungszeiten findet Ihr hier und der Eintritt ist frei!). Um den Cache zu loggen, müsst Ihr aber nicht ins Gebäude gehen.
Stattdessen mache ich diese Logbedingung:
- Macht ein Foto von Euch mit dem Skelett im Hintergrund auf dem Ihr ausseht wie ein fröhlicher Neandertaler, der gerade sein Frühstück erlegt hat. Da die meisten Geocacher ohnehin wie Neandertaler aussehen, dürfte das kein großes Problem sein. Ihr könnt das Foto entweder vor dem Schaufenster oder im Museum knipsen. Hauptsache, das Mammut ist drauf.
- Solltet Ihr nicht wie ein Neandertaler aussehen oder Euer Gesicht nicht ins Internet stellen wollen, könnt Ihr auch kreativ werden, indem Ihr eine Playmobilfigur, einen Schlumpf, ein Legomännchen oder ähnliches mitbringt und das Mammut auf dem Foto jagen lasst.
Wie immer bei Virtuals ist ein Foto zwingende Bedingung. Logs ohne Foto werden gelöscht. Viel Spaß!

I have won a Virtual Reward 4.0 and am allowed to hide one of these rare caches in Münster. Of course I'm happy to do this and take you to the Ahlen Mammoth, the showpiece of the Geomuseum of the University of Münster. You can see it in the museum's large display window at the coordinates.
Of course, it is also worth visiting the exhibitions (you can find the opening hours here and the entrance is free!). However, to log the cache, you don't need to go inside.
Instead, I make the following log condition:
- Take a photo of yourself with the skeleton in the background, looking like a happy Stone Age Man or Woman who has just killed his or her breakfast. Since most geocachers look like Neanderthals anyway, this shouldn't be a big problem. You can take the photo either in front of the window or in the museum. The main thing is that the mammoth is in it.
- If you don't look like a Neanderthal or don't want to put your face on the Internet, you can also get creative by bringing a Playmobil figure, a Smurf, a Lego man or something similar and let it hunt the mammoth in the photo.
As always with Virtuals, a photo is a log requirement. Logs without a photo will be deleted. Have fun!
