This is a virtual cache at an incredible scenic view. Parking is nearby in the parking lot for the Canyon Rim Visitor Center. Hours for the visitor center are everyday 9am to 5pm (but check on holidays). In the visitor center are educational displays as well as bathrooms and a gift shop. Check their google map listing for more information.
For this cache you will need to go down 178 wooden steps down to the lower viewing platform. There is a bench halfway. Obviously you will need to come back up 178 steps to leave when youre done. There is a sign at the start about knowing your limits and if this isn't for you, thats ok!
To log this cache you must do TWO things:
1) Submit the answer to the following question: At the lowest viewing platform there is an informational sign entitled "An Obstacle and an Avenue". What are people doing in the main photo of the informational sign?
2) You must post a photo from the viewing platform. You do not have to include your face. You may instead include a personal item such as a trackable or paper with your geocaching name on it. If you don't mind, share where you're traveling from so we can see all the different visitors!
Please don't post photos of the sign or the answer to the question, as I will remove them.
