“Bloom” by San Antonio artist Leticia Huerta is a permanent public artwork located at Tezel Road City Facility. Inspired by trail users and nearby native flora, Huerta created the original “Bloom” installation at McAllister Park. The expanded “Bloom” series sees indigenous wildflowers turned into sculptures with components that resemble larger-than-life bicycle parts. The Engelmann Daisy and Ironweed can be seen here, while other “Bloom” flowers are “planted” along the Howard Peak Green Way Trail System across San Antonio.
There are TWO requirements to log this geocache:
1. Since this is a virtual cache, there is no physical log book to sign. Simply take a picture of yourself with one or both Blooms in the background (I want you to have fun with this part, be as creative as you want to be). If you are shy then instead take a photo of your GPS or your signature item, WITH the Bloom(s) in the background. Log the geocache online as usual and include the picture. The picture just needs to demonstrate that you were there yourself. Found It logs without a proper photo (posted within a reasonable time frame) will be deleted without warning.
2. Look for the Culebra Creek Tributary Trail Rules sign (coordinates provided). Please message me how many butterflies you see on the back of the sign. Found it logs without sending the answer to this question (within reasonable time frame) will be deleted without warning.
