TOLDKAMMER" øverst over porten.

On the coordinate of this virtual cache, you stand so that you can see three significant things. Choose which one you want to use for your logging or use all three.
Elsinore railwaystaion
The beautiful current Helsingør station was put into use on 24 October 1891. At the time, they wanted to mark it as Denmark's gateway to the rest of the Nordic region. The station was therefore built to a high level of quality and is an architectural monument for its time.
The coastal railway was opened in 1897. In addition, the Lille Nord train to/from Hillerød and the Hornbæk-Gilleleje line uses the station.
The railway station building is quite remarkable in that it is built in the 'Rosenborg style'. The station was designed by N.P.C. Holsøe and Heinrich Wenck. Elsinore Railway Station rests on 1600 piles, which are hammered into the seabed, and on these piles a foundation is cast. Of the interior of the station, special mention should be made of the vestibule. The premises facing Øresund – where today there is a restaurant – were originally designed as a royal waiting room.
The ferry terminal – as it is today – was built in 1991, until then passenger cars were transferred with the ferries to Helsingborg.
The main building, including the platform roofs, was listed in 1990.
In front of the mighty station building stand Hamlet and Ophelia, two statues made by Rudolph Tegner and erected on this site on December 12, 2008.
Customs Chamber
Opposite the station is the Customs Chamber, also a stately and mighty building occupying an entire block.
The Customs Chamber was inaugurated on 16 November 1891 and used by the Customs Service until 1976. In 1989, the Customs Chamber was transformed into the self-governing institution, the Culture House “Toldkammeret” The facility was initially listed in 1979 without the fence wall, but in 1997 the preservation was extended to include the wall and the associated small building adjacent to the wall and courtyard with its coating.
The entrance area is clarified with a tall, openwork balustrade with the text: "KGL. TOLDKAMMER" above the gate.
Now the building is used for music events and rooms for the city's children's cultural center, the pantry and meeting facilities, just as administration for Elsinore Theatre and Elsinore Girl´s guard is located in the building.
The Svea column
In front of the Customs Chamber stands the Svea Column. The column is erected in memory of the occupation period 1940-45, Sweden's efforts for refugees who came to the country across the Sound, and in memory of Freedom Day on 5 May 1945, when the Danish brigade came to Elsinore from Sweden.
The 11.75-metre-high Svea Column was unveiled on Dec. 21, 1947. It consists of a luminous column composed of 11 copper columns made at Elsinore Shipyard with a capital (column head) of bronze.
Inside the Svea column are installed electrical installations/lamps that make there is light in the column when it is dark. The Svea column stands on a square plinth of Swedish granite with an inscription authored by Mayor Peder Christensen.
