Alle coordinate ti troverai in piazza della Loggia, la piazza più importante di Brescia in stile veneziano. Da un lato vedrai il Palazzo della Loggia, oggi sede del Comune, e dall'altro il campanile.
Quest'ultimo fu realizzato tra il 1540 e il 1550 su idea del famoso campanile di Piazza San Marco a Venezia, costruito circa 50 anni prima.
L'orologio stesso è un complesso orologio astronomico meccanico, costruito tra il 1544 e il 1546.
In cima alla torre si trova una campana in bronzo con ai lati due statue rappresentanti uomini muniti di martello, soprannominati "Tone en Batista", ma meglio conosciuti nel dialetto bresciano come i "Màcc de le ure", ovvero "i pazzi" delle ore".
Questi colpiscono i campanelli della campana, mossi dal meccanismo dell'orologio.
Il quadrante mostra le 24 ore del giorno, ma non come siamo abituati oggi.
Prima della riforma del cronometraggio del 1786, l'orologio segnava l'ora secondo il sistema orario italiano. Questo inizia sempre all'alba e il puntatore segue il percorso del sole all'orizzonte. Il semicerchio superiore corrispondeva quindi al giorno, quello inferiore alla notte con il sole sotto l'orizzonte.
La parte interna del quadrante indica la posizione della luna, del sole e dello zodiaco rispetto al centro (la terra)
Per fare il log del cache:
Scatta due foto della torre, una dalla parte anteriore e una dal retro della torre.
Le foto devono mostrare anche qualcosa della tua squadra, come GPS, zaino, un pezzo di carta con il nome della tua squadra leggibile. Naturalmente puoi anche essere tu stesso nelle foto.

At the coordinates you will find yourself in piazza della Loggia, the most important square in Brescia in Venetian style. On one side you will see Palazzo della Loggia, now the town hall, and on the other side the bell tower.
This was build between 1540 and 1550 based on the idea of the famous bell tower on the San Marco Square in Venice, which was built about 50 years earlier.
The clock itself is a complex mechanical astronomical clock, built between 1544 and 1546.
At the top of the tower there is a bronze bell with two statues on its sides representing men equipped with hammers, nicknamed "Tone en Batista", but better known in the Brescia dialect as the "Màcc de le ure", or " the madmen of the hours".
These strike the bells on the hour, moved by the clock mechanism.
The dial shows the 24 hours of the day, but not as we are used to today.
Before the reform of timekeeping in 1786, the clock told time according to the Italian time system. This ends at sunset at hour 24 and the pointer follows the path of the sun across the horizon. The upper semicircle therefore corresponded to the day, the lower to the night with the sun below the horizon.
The inner part of the dial indicates the position of the moon, sun and zodiac relative to the center (the earth)
To log the cache:
Take two photos of the tower, one from the front and one from the back of the tower.
The photos must also show something from your team, such as GPS, backpack, a piece of paper with your legible team name. Of course you can also be in the photos yourself.
