Nové Údolí/Neuthal Virtual Cache

Vítejte na hraničním přechodě Stožec (Nové Údolí)/Haidmühle!

V posledních desetiletích více ožívající, jinak poměrně klidné místo i v letní sezóně, během ostatních ročních období někdy až pusté, což odpovídá povaze zdejšího kraje, který si zažil mnohé těžké časy.

Historie

Nové Údolí (po radě s wikipedií) v údolí Studené Vltavy vzniklo jako dřevařská osada v roce 1795. Původně tudy probíhala železniční trať do Pasova otevřená roku 1910, která umožnila vznik větší vesnice s převážně německy mluvícím obyvatelstvem. Se vznikem železné opony po vysídlení německého obyvatelstva byla roku 1948 trať přerušena a do dnešní doby zachována jen z české strany, kde byl provoz až k hranici obnoven až roku 1990. V německém úseku od Haidmühle k Waldkirchenu můžeme jako memento pozorovat cyklostezku (Adalbert-Stifter weg - cesta Adalberta Stiftera). O okolí bývalé železnice a hraničního přechodu se stará spolek Pošumavská jižní dráha (zal. 1994), který zde provozuje i sezónní stylové občerstvení (viz waypoint O1) - jejich výsledky můžete na místě ohodnotit/okusit sami.

Doprava

Ač se tak nemusí zdát, místo je dobře dopravně dostupné. Mnou doporučovanou možností je propojení návštěvy hraničního přechodu s pěším výletem po horách, ideálně s přenocováním v přírodě. Místo je též snadno dostupné pomocí kola po jedné z mnoha cyklotratí sem směřujících. V zimě nelze opomenout možnost příjezdu na běžkách. Rodiny s dětmi též mohou pohodlně přicestovat vlakem po trati Stožec - Nové Údolí (s celkem přívětivými vlakovými intervaly, viz waypoint V1). Nejméně preferovanou, ale možnou variantou (vhodná pochopitelně pro německé sousedy) je příjezd automobilem z německé strany na blízké placené parkoviště (viz waypoint P1).

Jak na keš?

Abyste mohli logovat tuto keš je třeba se dostavit na úvodní souřadnice. Na české straně za mostem naleznete 2 vlajky - českou a německou. Vaším úkolem bude vyfotit svůj předmět (zavazadlo/dopravní prostředek, se kterým přijedete/.../případně sebe; viz příklad níže) u základny příslušné vlajky dle následujícího klíče - pokud dorazíte z německé strany, opřete bagáž/.../sebe o německou vlajku, pokud z české, tak o vlajku České republiky. Přijedete-li na nějakém dopravním prostředku stačí jeho fotka s vlajkou v pozadí. Upozorňuji, že fotografie budu kontrolovat a logy nesplňující tyto podmínky budou po výzvě mazány.

Pokud budete mít chuť, přiložte k logům i další fotografie dle mě dobře fotogenického okolí v různém počasí a denní době, myslím, že by mohla vzniknout hezká galerie a statistika kačerstva ;-)

Willkommen am Grenzübergang Tusset (Neuthal)/Haidmühle

In den letzten Jahrzehnten ein belebterer, ansonsten auch in der Sommersaison relativ ruhiger Ort, in den anderen Jahreszeiten teilweise sogar menschenleer, was dem Charakter der hiesigen Region entspricht, die schon viele schwierige Zeiten erlebt hat.

Eine Historie

Neuthal (laut Wikipedia) im Tal der Kalten Moldau wurde 1795 als Holzsiedlung gegründet. Ursprünglich wurde 1910 die Eisenbahnlinie nach Passau eröffnet, was die Entstehung eines größeren Dorfes mit überwiegend deutschsprachiger Bevölkerung ermöglichte. Mit der Errichtung des Eisernen Vorhangs nach der Vertreibung der deutschen Bevölkerung wurde die Strecke 1948 unterbrochen und blieb bis heute nur auf der tschechischen Seite erhalten, wo der Verkehr bis zur Grenze erst 1990 wieder aufgenommen wurde. Im deutschen Abschnitt von Haidmühle nach Waldkirchen können wir als Erinnerungsweg einen Radweg (Adalbert-Stifter weg – den Weg von Adalbert Stifter) beobachten. Die Umgebung der ehemaligen Eisenbahn und des Grenzübergangs wird vom Verein Pošumavská jižní dráha (gegründet 1994) betreut, der hier auch saisonale Einkehrmöglichkeiten betreibt (siehe Wegpunkt O1) – deren Ergebnisse können Sie vor Ort selbst beurteilen/verkosten .

Der Transport

Auch wenn es nicht so scheint, ist der Ort mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln leicht zu erreichen. Meine Empfehlung ist, den Besuch des Grenzübergangs mit einer Wanderung in den Bergen zu verbinden, am besten mit einer Übernachtung in der Natur. Der Ort ist auch mit dem Fahrrad über einen der zahlreichen Radwege, die hierher führen, gut erreichbar. Im Winter ist die Anreise mit Langlaufskiern nicht zu übersehen. Familien mit Kindern können auch bequem mit der Bahn entlang der Strecke Tusset – Neuthal reisen (mit recht günstigen Zugabständen, siehe Wegpunkt V1). Die am wenigsten bevorzugte, aber mögliche Option (natürlich auch für deutsche Nachbarn geeignet) ist die Anreise mit dem Auto von der deutschen Seite zum nahegelegenen gebührenpflichtigen Parkplatz (siehe Wegpunkt P1).

Wie finde ich den Cache?

Um diesen Cache zu loggen, müssen Sie zu den ursprünglichen Koordinaten gelangen. Auf der tschechischen Seite hinter der Brücke finden Sie zwei Flaggen – eine tschechische und eine deutsche. Ihre Aufgabe ist ihre Sache fotografieren (ein Gepäck/ein Verkehrsmittel, mit dem Sie anreisen/.../eventuell Euch selbst; siehe Beispiel unten) an der Basis entsprechender Flagge nach folgender Muster - wenn Sie von deutscher Seite anreisen, lehnen Sie Ihr Gepäck/.../Euch selbst an die deutsche Flagge, von tschechischer Seite an die Flagge der Tschechischen Republik. Wenn Sie mit einem Verkehrsmittel anreisen, es genügt ein Foto mit dem Verkehrsmittel mit der Flagge im Hintergrund. Bitte beachten Sie, dass ich die Fotos überprüfen werde und die diese Bedingungen nicht erfüllen, nach der Herausforderung löschen werde.

Welcome at a border crossing Stožec (Nové údolí)/Haidmühle!

This place place is coming alive more in last decades, but it is rather calm even in a summer season, during other seasons of the yaer sometimes even desolate what responds the character of this countryside, which went through numerous hard times.

A history

Nové Údolí (after an advice with the wikipedia) in a valley of Studená (Cold) Vltava was established like a wood processing settlement in 1795. Originally there was a railway line to Pasov opened in 1910 which cleared the way for an establishment of a bigger village with mainly German people. With an establishment of the Iron Curtain after an expulsion of German people was the railway line interrupted in 1948 and it was preserved until today only from the Czech side, where was an operation to the border crossing restored only in 1990. We can see in the German part from Haidmühle to Waldkirchen a cycleway (Adalbert-Stifter weg - a way of Adalbert Stifter). For surroundings of the former railway and the border crossing takes care a fellowship Pošumavská jižní dráha (est. 1994), which runs here a seasonal stylish snack bar (see an waypoint O1) too - you can evaluate/taste there their outcome yourself.

A transport

Altough it does not have to seems to be, the place is in a good coverage of a transport. My recommended possibility is to connect a visit of the border crossing with a hike around mountains, optimal with an overnight stay in nature. The place is also easily accessible by a bike during many  here coming cycloways. There is a possibility of coming by a cross-country ski in winter too. Families with children can comfortably arrive on a railway Stožec - Nové Údolí (with altogether favourable train intervals, see an waypoint V1). The less preferred, but possible option (naturally suitable for German neighbours) is an arrival by a car from the German side to a close car park with a parking fee (see a waypoint P1).

How to seek a cache?

You must appear in given coordinates to log this cache. On the Czech side behind a bridge there are 2 flags - the Czech and the German. Your task is to take a photo of your thing (a baggage/some personal kind of transport, you will use to arrive/.../alternatively yourself; see an example below)by the base of a relevant flag according to the following clue - if you arrive from the German side, prope baggage/.../yourself against the German flag, if you arrive from the Czech side, prope it against the flag of the Czech Republic. If you arrive by some personal kind of transport, it will be enough to take a photo with it and the relevant flag in a background. Warning, I will inspect photos and logs that will not fulfil these tasks will be after an appeal deleted.

If you will have a fancy, add to logs more photos of, in my opinion, photogenic surroundings in various weather and day time too, I thing it might be created a nice gallery and a statistics of a cachership ;-)
