Itsukushima Shrine was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Itsukushima is considered an island where the gods live, and in the past, entry to the island was strictly restricted, and cultivation of fields was not allowed (even today, graves cannot be built). Currently, it is a popular tourist destination visited by over 4.8 million people annually.
The shrine building of Itsukushima Shrine is built on the sea. There is also a large torii gate 16 meters high on the sea, allowing you to enjoy a unique view that cannot be seen anywhere else. Please take photos of the various expressions of Miyajima and post one of them in your log!
Although it is not necessary to visit, there is an admission fee of 300 yen to enter the grounds of Itsukushima Shrine.

必ずしも訪れる必要はありませんが、厳島神社の境内に入るには300円の拝観料が必要になります。
