Geocache Description:

Starting 1st November, 2022 passengers can conveniently travel between Terminal 1 (T1) and T1 Satellite Concourse (T1S) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) via Sky Bridge, a new 200m-long and 20m-width footbridge equipped with escalators and automated walkway.

Spanning a taxiway at the airport and is 28m above the ground, Sky Bridge is the world’s longest airside bridge that allows the largest passenger aircraft code F, i.e. A380, to pass under it. With the exterior glazing and glass floor installed on the bridge, passengers can enjoy the extraordinary experience of an aircraft passing beneath their feet. With the unique panoramic view across the airport, Sky Bridge offers the highest view point of the airport for passengers. An observation deck, a catering outlet and a shop on the Sky Bridge will open in phases.

Ricky Leung, Executive Director of Engineering & Technology, Airport Authority Hong Kong said, “Sky Bridge is aspired to be the iconic feature at HKIA. It offers passengers a spectacular view of the entire airport with the nearby landscape as the backdrop. Passengers have a brand new spot for snap shots before they go on with their journey. Sky Bridge is a part of our efforts in renewing and enhancing passenger experience at HKIA. Together with other upgraded airport facilities, we look forward to welcoming passengers from around the world.”

Before the commencement of Sky Bridge, passenger had to take shuttle bus to and from T1S for boarding and disembarkation.

Suggested Method 1. Go to N 22 18.456 E113 56.223(WP1) and you can see the top part of the bridge clearly behind the fence.

Suggested Method 2. Go to N 22 21.381 E113 57.168(WP2) and you can see the bridge from the north side but it is a further view.

Suggested Method 3. Go to N 22 16.173 E113 54.488(WP3) and you can have a view from the hill.

Other Method: Be creative. There are many other position that can allow you to take the required picture without going inside any restricted area.

Option 2: If you are taking an airplane or you are just a transiting travellor, then post/send a photo of yourself OR something that can easily identify you as a Geocacher on the sky bridge(The Posted Coordinates).

Note: The Terrain rating is chosen for you to do this inside the airport. It is not 100% necessary to do this in the airport but the Terrain rating will be higher on the few locations that I can think of and the difficulty level is also increased because I won't tell you where can you do this.
