Piccadilly Circus (Virtual Reward 4.0) ツ
When I first came to London in 1992 (a little more than 30 years ago) I was only 14 years old and Piccadilly Circus was a bit different...
Each summer since then, I was happy to see this space again, and it was changing year after year...
I still remember buying one of my very first CDs at a well-known shop (that does not exists anymore) at the corner of Regent Street... the taste of the 99 Flake sold by the ice cream truck parked in front of it... the time spent waiting for my friends by the fountain watching the tourists... the sound of the crowd, the traffic... and mostly the Piccadilly Lights !
When I came to work in London in 2001, I may have walked in front of it more than a thousand times and each time I was still amazed by it.
A few more years later, even though I was not living in London anymore, Piccadilly Circus was always (and will always be) the space to go every time I come back to this hystorical part of this wonderfull city.
And speaking of history :
This public space was built in 1819 ! The Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain was not where it is right now but in the center !! The tube station was opened in 1906 !!! And in 2017 during almost 11 months the 6 remaining illuminated signs were turned off... to be combined into one large ultra-high definition curved display !!!!

I can only recommand that you come to Piccadilly Circus by day and also by night to enjoy the view.

Your only task to claim this virtual cache, if you accept it, is very simple :
Take a picture of yourself at Piccadilly Circus with the Piccadilly Lights in the background (that is now a big screen) and add it in your 'found it' log !
- You do not need to send me the picture : just put it in your log.
- You do not need to show your face in the picture if you don't want to, you can use a part of your body and/or write your username on your hand or a piece of paper... it's up to you.
(Extra bonus points if you can also include the fountain in the picture but not mandatory : you must have fun !)
Logging prior to the published date is of course not OK ^^ : logs with pictures taken years before the published date will be removed... Yes, I know you were here before but you will have to come back and experience again the beauty of this place and this wonderfull city that is London ! There's plenty of new caches to find since you last came here !! It will be the occasion for you to see how things change over the years and enjoy them differently !!!

Starting this date, all logs that are not complying with the requested tasks above will be removed without warning :
- If there is no picture attached to your log, it will be deleted
- If we can not see the Piccadilly Lights (the big screen) in the picture, your log will be deleted
- If there is no significant proof of yourself on site in the picture (no face or no hand or any other body part, or no specific personal object or no nickname), your log will be deleted
- If the log is prior to the published date, it will be deleted
