Lauritsalan kirkko on nimeltään "Taivaan valo". Sen suunnittelivat arkkitehdit Toivo Korhonen ja Jaakko Laapotti. Kirkko valmistui vuonna 1969, ja sen perusta on tasasivuisen kolmion muotoinen.
Kirkon betonikatto on valmistettu liukuvalumenetelmällä ja siinä on suuri lasikate. Lisäksi alttarin takana olevassa seinässä on pystysuorasti ikkunat aina kirkon huipulle saakka. Kirkkosalin erityispiirteenä on se, että se laskeutuu joka puolelta loivasti alttaria kohti muodostaen näköesteettömän "katsomon".
Kirkkosalin katossa riippuu lappeenrantalaisen venepuusepän Juha Niemisen rakentama keluvene. Veneen nimi on ”Totuus” ja se ripustettiin kirkkoon lappeenrantalaisen puunjalostusteollisuuden kunniaksi.

Lauritsala Church is called "Light of Heaven". It was designed by architects Toivo Korhonen and Jaakko Laapotti. The church was completed in 1969, and its foundation is in the shape of an equilateral triangle.
The church's concrete roof was constructed using the slip-form method and features a large glass canopy. Additionally, the wall behind the altar has vertical windows extending all the way to the top of the church. A unique feature of the church hall is that it gently slopes towards the altar from all sides, creating an unobstructed "auditorium" view.
Hanging from the ceiling of the church hall is a rowing boat built by Lappeenranta boat carpenter Juha Nieminen. The boat is named "Truth" and was hung in the church in honor of Lappeenranta's wood processing industry.
The baptismal painting in Lauritsala Church was created by local artist Kira Pesonen. The painting was designed and conceptualized by the congregation. The church is 47 meters high and has seating for 550 people in its hall.
The Finnish Heritage Agency has designated Lauritsala Church and the parish center as one of Finland's nationally significant built cultural environments.
