Gdynia filmem stoi, przede wszystkim polskim filmem fabularnym.
Od 2021 roku Gdynia może poszczycić się tytułem Miasta Filmu UNESCO.
Skąd wziął się ten tytuł? To właśnie tu, w mieście z morza i marzeń, zakotwiczył w 1987 roku Festiwal Polskich Filmów Fabularnych. Nazwa festiwalu ulegała dwukrotnie modyfikacjom. W 2012 roku był to Gdynia Film Festival, a w latach 2013–2016 Gdynia – Festiwal Filmowy.
Jednak to chyba pierwotna, a zarazem aktualna nazwa jest najbardziej rozpoznawalna.
Główną nagrodą na Festiwalu Polskich Filmów Fabularnych są Złote Lwy, wcześniej znane pod nazwą Złote Lwy Gdańskie. Tak to nie żart, Lwy Gdańskie w Gdyni.
Po prostu w latach 1974–1986 festiwal gościł w Gdańsku.
Zachowanie głównego trzonu nazwy po przeprowadzce do Gdyni świadczy o otwarciu festiwalu tak naprawdę na całe Trójmiasto. A co z otwarciem na całą Polskę, Europę i cały świat? Tu też nie ma czego zarzucić gdyńskiemu festiwalowi. Polskie filmy fabularne to już kino światowe; np. filmy Agnieszki Holland, Andrzeja Wajdy czy Krzysztofa Kieślowskiego. Wśród jurorów i gości można także dopatrzyć się sław światowego kina. Można zatem powiedzieć, że światowe kino gości w Gdyni. Rodzi się pytanie, czy Gdynia gości / gościła w filmach? Tu odpowiedź jest również na TAK. W Gdyni powstało kilkadziesiąt filmów polskich i zagranicznych. Tych polskich było naprawdę dużo, w tym znaczących dla polskiej kinematografii. Wystarczy wymienić "Człowieka z żelaza" Andrzeja Wajdy, "0_1_0" Piotra Łazarkiewicza czy przedwojenną "Rapsodię Bałtyku" Leonarda Buczkowskiego. W Gdyni powstawały także odcinki znanych seriali: "Stawka większa niż życie", "Czterej Pancerni i Pies", "SOS", "Kryminalni" czy "Zatoka Szpiegów". Wśród filmów zagranicznych trafią się nawet takie produkcje kinowe i telewizyjne jak "Titanic" (nazistowski film z 1943 roku, choć to znacznie mniej chlubna karta w historii kinematografii niż słynne dzieło Jamesa Camerona z 1997), "Złodziej tęczy" z 1990 roku z Omarem Sharifem, Peterem O'Toolem i Christopherem Lee, z plenerami na Polance Redłowskiej.
W zapoznaniu się z historią Festiwalu Polskich Filmów Fabularnych, z nagrodzonymi główną nagrodą filmami, ich twórcami oraz aktorami pomóc może każdemu Pomnik Festiwalu Polskich Filmów Fabularnych w gdyńskim Parku Rady Europy.

Zadanie 2.
Współrzędne waypointa 1 wskazują miejsce jednej ze scen z polskiego filmu Stanisława Barei "Żona dla Australijczyka” z Wiesławem Gołasem i Elżbietą Czyżewską.
Zrób zdjęcie z widocznym fragmentem betonowego stołu, na którym wskazujesz jednostkę pływającą w tle lub alternatywnie z widocznym znakiem / latarnią nawigacyjną lub molo. Będzie mi miło gdy zamieścisz także zdjęcie siebie samego na tym samym tle.

Gdynia stands for film, especially Polish feature films.
As of 2021, Gdynia can boast the title of UNESCO City of Film.
Where did this title come from? It was here, in a city made of sea and dreams, that the Polish Feature Film Festival anchored in 1987. The name of the festival was modified twice. In 2012 it was the Gdynia Film Festival, and between 2013 and in 2016 it was very similar: the Gdynia - Film Festival.
However, it is probably the original and current name that is most recognizable.
The main prize at the Polish Film Festival is the Golden Lions, previously known as the Golden Lions of Gdańsk. Yes that's no joke, the Gdańsk Lions in Gdynia.
Simply put, from 1974 to 1986 the festival was hosted in Gdańsk. Keeping the main core of the name after the move to Gdynia shows that the festival was actually opened to the entire Tri-City. But what about the opening to all of Poland, Europe and the world? Here, too, there is nothing to reproach the Gdynia festival with. Polish feature films are already world cinema; for example, the films of Agnieszka Holland, Andrzej Wajda and Krzysztof Kieślowski. Among the jurors and guests one can also spot world cinema celebrities. Thus, it can be said that world cinema is hosted in Gdynia. The question arises, does Gdynia host/has it hosted films? Here the answer is also YES.
Several dozen Polish and foreign films were produced in Gdynia. The Polish ones were really numerous, including those significant for Polish cinematography. Suffice it to mention “Man of Iron” by Andrzej Wajda, “0_1_0” by Piotr Łazarkiewicz or the pre-war “Rhapsody of the Baltic” by Leonard Buczkowski. Episodes of the well-known series “More Than Life at Stake”, “ Four Men and a Dog - In a Tank”, “SOS”, “Crime Detectives” or “Bay of Spies” were also filmed in Gdynia. Among foreign films, there will even be such cinema and television productions as “Titanic” (a Nazi film from 1943, although it's a much less glorious page in cinematic history than James Cameron's famous 1997 masterpiece), “The Rainbow Thief” from 1990 with Omar Sharif, Peter O'Toole and Christopher Lee with an outdoor setting in the Redłowska Polanka in Gdynia.

The coordinates of waypoint 1 indicate the location of one of the scenes from the Polish film by Stanisław Bareia “Wife for an Australian” with Wiesław Gołas and Elżbieta Czyżewska. Take a photo with a visible part of the concrete table where you point to the vessel in the background or alternatively with a visible sign / beacon or pier. It will be nice if you also post a photo of yourself against the same background.
