The Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine is a Roman Catholic shrine dedicated in 2022 to an Oklahoma-born priest, missionary, and martyr. The shrine, which now serves as the largest Catholic church in Oklahoma, a museum, and a pilgrimage site.

On the Western edge of the massive 52-acre property is Tepeyac Hill. This hill stands out as a unique backdrop to I-35 travelers. It is a stark deviation to the normally flat Oklahoma terrain. Tepeyac Hill was built as a re-creation of the hill in Mexico where Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego on Dec. 12, 1531. Visitors are welcome 24/7 and can walk to the top to see the statues in person.

As you walk up the paved path, be sure to take in the beautiful views of the shrine church and grounds. You will see native grass and plants from Oklahoma. The peak of the hill is highlighted by two bronze statues: A beautiful 12 foot, 4,400 pound, statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and an 8 foot tall, 3,300 pound statue of St. Juan Diego.

3) In feet, estimate the change in elevation from the base to peak of Tepeyac Hill.
4) In your log, please provide a photo of yourself atop Tepayac Hill.
- If you prefer, your photo from the top can be of something geocaching related like a trackable or a piece of paper with your geocaching name. Just make the photo unique to you and your visit to the posted coordinates.
- Photos from the parking lot or the base of the hill will not be accepted. You do have to walk up. You will be glad you did. The path is paved and a gradual slope, and could even be argued to be handicap accessible, but also meets the Groundspeak definition of a 2.5 Terrain, so earn it!
