Hier vor Ort ist die weltweit bekannteste Marke für Plüschtiere und zugleich die Erfinderin des Teddybären zu sehen.

Als die Gründerin Margarete 1880 das Nadelkissen Elefäntle erfand, erlebte sie, wie der kleine Filzelefant binnen kürzester Zeit zum Lieblingsspiel- und Kuscheltier der Kinder wurde. Gutes und liebevoll gestaltetes Spielzeug für Kinder zu entwickeln war ab diesem Zeitpunkt Basis ihres Handelns.

Im Jahr 1902 erfand Margaretes Neffe Richard den ersten beweglichen Bären, der kurze Zeit später durch Theodore Roosevelt seinen weltweit bekannten Namen „Teddybär“ erhielt und der Marke den internationalen Durchbruch brachte.

Heute ist sind die Produkte in der ganzen Welt zuhause, von Deutschland über Frankreich, Großbritannien und USA bis nach Japan und China, in über 50 Ländern weltweit.

When founder Margarete invented the Elefäntle pincushion in 1880, she saw how the little felt elephant quickly became a child's favorite toy and cuddly toy. From this point on, developing good and lovingly designed toys for children was the basis of her business.

In 1902, Margaret's nephew Richard invented the first movable bear, which shortly afterwards was given its world-famous name “Teddy bear” by Theodore Roosevelt and brought the brand its international breakthrough.

Today, the products are at home all over the world, from Germany to France, the UK and the USA to Japan and China, in over 50 countries worldwide.
