The Temple of Mithras.
The Temple of Mithras, built circa AD 240, came to light in 1954 during the excavation of a World War II bomb site. The find seized the public's fascination, drawing over 400,000 visitors to the exposed ruins within a fortnight.
London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE has returned and restored the Temple of Mithras to its original discovery site in the City of London, situated beneath Bloomberg's new European headquarters.
Venture seven metres beneath the contemporary street level to delve into the ancient temple via an immersive journey. Witness the vibrant world of Roman Londinium revived, revealing the narratives of the city's earliest inhabitants. Additionally, uncover an impressive array of Roman artifacts unearthed during excavations, accompanied by a collection of modern art pieces that echo the significance of one of the UK's most significant archaeological discoveries.

London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE - Admission.
Admission to London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE is free. Pre-booked tickets are not required, but you are encouraged to book a free ticket in advance to guarantee entry at your chosen time.
Opening hours; Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 – 18:00, Sundays 12:00 – 17:00, first Thursday of the month 10:00 – 20:00, closed on Mondays, Christmas and New Year bank holidays.
Attention: Wednesdays during term time 12.30 – 18.00.
