Cornwall's first post office was located in King's Store near GZ for this virtual.
A post office was built at the northwest corner of Pitt and Second Streets and opened in 1883. It was a Gothic inspired buiding with a clock tower.

In 1953, a new post office was built at the northwest corner of Sydney and Second Streets. The previous post office was demolished in 1955, but the clock from the clock tower was saved.
The post office at the corner of Sydney and Second Streets would be closed when a new post office would be relocated a bit further west on Second Street. The building would not be demolished but would become the new Cornwall Public Library.
In 1992 this clock tower was built incorporating the clock from the old post office. To the east and west of the clock tower you can also see remains of the old post office.
Logging requirements
Include a photo (yourself, thumbs up or personal item) with a part of the old post office (clock face, mechanism or remains).
