Geocache Description:

Welcome to Batu Caves

Batu Caves is a set of Hindu temples built in both caves and the surrounds on the edge of Kuala Lumpur. The cave complex is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. The complex consists of four main caves, namely the Temple Cave, Dark Cave, Ramayana Cave, and Cave Villa1. The entrance to the Temple Cave is guarded by a 140-foot-tall statue of Lord Murugan, which is the tallest statue of a Hindu deity in Malaysia.

Opening hours

The cave complex is open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, and admission is free.
There are 272 colorful stairs to climb.
