One of historic downtown Stuart's most notable landmarks isn't a building but a road – the infamous "Confusion Corner." This complex intersection, where eight different streets including Flagler Avenue, East and West Ocean Boulevards, Colorado Avenue, A1A North & South, and Dixie Highway converge, is notorious for perplexing motorists, especially non-locals. The baffling nature of this crossing even drew legendary CBS newsman Charles Kuralt to Stuart in 1979, where he featured it in his popular "On the Road" series.
