Trška gora je 428 m visok hrib nad Novim mestom, ki je posejan z vinogradi in zidanicami. Ime je hrib dobil po tem, da je spadal k bližnjemu trgu, Novemu mestu (trg -> trška). Lastniki večine posestev so bili namreč Novomeščani. Posest na Trški gori je imel tudi cistercijanski samostan v Stični - podaril jim jo je ob ustanovitvi samostana leta 1136 oglejski patriarh Peregrin. V ustanovni listini se omenjata Willam Wingarten (gre najverjetneje za pristavo in vinski hram) in pa vas Bajnof (iz nemške besede Weinhof – vinski dvor) - to ime je ohranjeno do danes. Na vrhu stoji romarska cerkev Marijinega rojstva (vsakoletno žegnanje na mali šmaren oz. malo mašo 8. septembra), ki jo je leta 1623 dal postaviti opat stiškega samostana Jakob Reinprecht, poleg nje pa rastejo štiri lipe, najmogočnejša med njimi je z 830 cm v prsnem obsegu tudi najdebelejša dolenjska lipa. 2. Kaj opazite na južni fasadi in koliko teh predmetov je vidnih?
3. Posnemite selfi v eni od lip. Če ste sramežljivi lahko v odprtini fotografirate listek z vašim geolovskim imenom IN datumom obiska. Fotografijo pripnite v log.

Trška gora is a hill that rises 428 meters above sea level. It's covered with vineyards and traditional wine cottages (called zidanica), in fact it has the largest concentration of wine cottages in the world. The summit of Trška gora is crowned with the pilgrimage Church of the Birth of the Virgin, which was built in 1623. In front of the church there are four old linden trees. The oldest and mightiest of them has a circumference of no less than 830 centimetres. It is estimated to be more than four hundred years old, and is the thickest linden of Dolenjska.
