Welcome to the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum.
Rocky Hill War Memorial opened in 1925 as a lasting tribute to the men and women of Goulburn who served during the Great War (WWI). A small museum opened in the basement of the tower in 1927 to house a substantial collection of war trophies allocated to Goulburn.
The museum remained open to the public throughout the twentieth century with the collection growing significantly since that time. In 1999, the entire collection was moved into the re-purposed care-takers cottage. A new state of the art museum building opened alongside in June 2020.
The Museum's website offers information on our collection, research, tours, exhibitions, events, public programming, and more.
I highly recommend a visit to the Tower and the museum, but it is not required to claim this Virtual.
The gates or normally open from 7am to 7pm daily, but best to check to website.
