Styrelsen för Kungsäters hembygdsförening beslutade den 29 september 1956 att tacksamt mottaga det gamla manhuset från Djupadal i Grimmared. Byggnaden är från 1700-talet och var en gåva till föreningen från Johan och Jenny Abrahamsson. Fönstren till manhuset kommer från Torsäng i Karl Gustav. Styrelsen bordlade vid ovanstående sammanträde frågan om en tomt till den erbjudna byggnaden. Det fanns tre olika områden som varit uppe som förslag till tomtmark. Senare, den 4 oktober, beslöt styrelsen att platsen, Floa Backe, skulle bli platsen där Hembygdsgården skulle ligga. Tomten skänktes till föreningen av bröderna Börjesson i Torp i Kungsäter. Platsen benämns i protokoll från år 1955 för Flora kulle.
Nu startade ett gediget arbete med att få huset på plats. Det mesta arbetet utfördes säkert ideellt men i protokoll kan man läsa att lantmäteri, murning, grävning, snickeri, målning m m kostade summa 14 000 kronor. Efter att allt var färdigt, städat och plantering gjorts utvändigt bjöds det till invigningsfest på Floa backe Annan dag Pingst år 1963.

On September 29, 1956, the board of Kungsäter's home village association decided to gratefully accept the old man's house from Djupadal in Grimmared. The building dates from the 18th century and was a gift to the association from Johan and Jenny Abrahamsson. The windows for the man's house come from Torsäng in Karl Gustav. At the above meeting, the board discussed the question of a site for the proposed building. There were three different areas that were up as proposals for land. Later, on October 4, the board decided that the place, Floa Backe, would be the place where Hembygdsgården would be located. The plot was donated to the association by the Börjesson brothers in Torp i Kungsäter. The place is referred to in minutes from the year 1955 as Flora hill.
Now solid work started to get the house in place. Most of the work was probably carried out on an informal basis, but in the minutes you can read that surveying, masonry, digging, carpentry, painting, etc. cost a total of SEK 14,000. After everything was finished, cleaned and the planting was done outside, there was an opening party on Floa hille on the second day of Pentecost in 1963.

1. To log this geocache, you need to find a town that is written on a flagpole. The flagpole is located with a waypoint. Send to the CO what the town is. You don't have to wait for a response and you can log when you're done.
