A nice easy virtual cache to welcome you to beautiful Queenstown, a place I've had a connection to since I was a child and to where I am still drawn, like so many others.
Since 2007 this sculpture, created by Mark Hill (son of Sir Michael Hill), has been welcoming visitors to Queenstown. Mark Hill has numerous public and private works displayed throughout New Zealand (such as a huge 12m stainless steel eagle at Macraes Flat, and several sculptures at The Hills Golf Course in Arrowtown) as well as works exported to USA, Germany and Australia.
Logging Requirements:
1. Take a photograph of yourself or your geocaching name (so I know it isn't an armchair visit) in front of the sculpture, add it to your log; and
2. Send a message to the cache owner with the title of the sculpture, what it means, and what the sculpture is made of. Please don't put the answers in your log.
Once you have sent your answers, you can log this cache - there's no need for wait for a reply. I'll get back to you if there is something to follow up on.
