Il Ponte di Augusto e Tiberio, conosciuto come Ponte di Tiberio, è il 2° ponte romano più antico ancora in funzione. Situato a Rimini, congiunge il Borgo San Giuliano al centro storico della città.
La sua costruzione iniziò nel 14 dC con il governo di Augusto e terminò nel 21 dC sotto Tiberio.
Fu costruito per attraversare il fiume Marecchia, quando questo seguiva il percorso naturale e sfociava fra il Borgo e la città. Successivamente il Marecchia fu deviato attraverso un canale artificiale fra il 1924 e 1930 per evitare pericolose esondazioni.
Edificato in pietra d’Istria, la struttura è formata da 5 arcate a tutto sesto con delle edicole cieche poste tra gli archi. L’ampiezza degli archi aumenta gradualmente dai lati verso il centro, dove è posto l’arco più grande.
Ai bordi, nella pavimentazione, vi sono alcune lastre di pietra con incise iscrizioni latine.
Insieme all’arco di Augusto, il ponte costituisce uno dei simboli dell’identità di Rimini, tanto da comparire, a partire dall’epoca medievale, nei sigilli e negli stemmi pubblici.

The Bridge of Augusto and Tiberio, also known as the Bridge of Tiberio, is the 2nd oldest Roman bridge still in operation. Located in Rimini, it connects Borgo San Giuliano to the historic center of the city.
Its construction began in 14 AD with the government of Augustus and ended in 21 AD under Tiberius.
It was built to cross the Marecchia river, when it followed its natural path and flowed between the village and the city. Subsequently the Marecchia was diverted through an artificial canal between 1924 and 1930 to avoid dangerous flooding.
Built in Istrian stone, the structure is made up of 5 round arches with blind niches placed between the arches. The width of the arches gradually increases from the sides towards the center, where the largest arch is located.
At the edges, in the pavement, there are some stone slabs with engraved Latin inscriptions.
Together with the Arch of Augusto , the bridge constitutes one of the symbols of Rimini's identity, so much so that it has appeared in public seals and coats of arms since medieval times.

- Publish a photo of yourself in the log, yours (or of something with your nickname) with the Tiberius Bridge behind you.
- To cache coordinates, on the pedestrian walkway there is a plaque that begins "A.FVNDAMENT": send me the text of the last line privately, exactly as it is written
