LA FONTANA DEL FACCHINO
DESCRIZIONE
La Fontana del Facchino si trova in Via Lata, all'altezza del civico 4 e fa parte, insieme a Pasquino, Marforio, Abate Luigi, Madama Lucrezia e Babuino delle cosiddette "Statue Parlanti": statue al collo delle quali venivano attaccati manifesti e cartelli satirici ed irriverenti (le cosiddette "pasquinate"), atraverso cui Pasquino per primo, ed in generale i romani, denunciavano anche pesantemente e sempre in modo anonimo i personaggi pubblici più in vista di Roma, nonché la corruzione ed il malgoverno della Chiesa.
La Fontana veniva anche detta il barile o mezzo barile, e fu realizzata su disegno ed a spese del pittore fiorentino Jacopino del Conte, mentre l'esecuzione è da attribuire a maestranze fiorentine. Rappresenta una figura maschile, con il viso quasi completamente consumato, mentre versa acqua da una botte. Il viso sfigurato è dovuto alle offese dei monelli di strada che ne facevano bersaglio lanciando pietre. Ciò perchè il personaggio, secondo una credenza popolare, per via del berretto e dell'abbigliamento era da molti ritenuto addirittura Martin Lutero. La scelta di rappresentare un acquaiolo dipese sicuramente dalla presenza, in questa zona della città, di numerose botteghe di facchini portatori d'acqua che nelle ore notturne riempivano botti e boticelle con l'acqua attinta dal Tevere o dalle tre bocche dell'antica Fontana di Trevi, per poi rivenderla porta a porta.
COME LOGGARE LA CACHE
1) Andare alle coordinate indicate e scattare una foto di voi, nella quale si veda chiaramente la Fontana del Facchino, mostrando se volete un foglio con su scritto il nome della nazione dalla quale venite (anche una bandiera sarebbe gradita!).
2) In alternativa al primo punto, se non volete mostrare il volto, è necessario che nella foto sia presente un foglio con su scritto il vostro nickname.
3) Infine, rispondere alla seguene domanda: se dalla fontana girate a sinistra su Via del Corso, quali due parole leggete sull'orologio distante pochi metri? Inviate la risposta tramite messaggio!

DESCRIPTION
The Facchino Fountain is located in Via Lata at number 4 and is part, together with Pasquino, Marforio, Abate Luigi, Madama Lucrezia and Babuino, of te so-called "talking statues": statues around whose necks were attached satirical and irriverent posters and placards (the so-called "pasquinate"), through which Pasquino first, and the romans in general, also heavily and always anonymously denounced the most prominent public figures in Rome, as well as the corruption and bad administration of the Church.
The Fountain was also called The Barrel or Half Barrel, and was built on the design and at the expense of the Florentine painter Jacopino del Conte, while the execution can be attribuited to florentine workers.
It represents a male figure, with an almost completely worn face, pouring water from a barrel. The disfigured face is due to the insults of street urchins who targeted him by throwing stones. This is because the character, according to a popular belief, was considered by many to be Martin Luther due to his cap and clothing.
The choice to represent a water carrier certainly depended on the presence, in this area of the city, of numerous shops of porters carrying water, who during the nigtht filled barrels with water drawn from the Tiber or from the three mouths of the ancient Trevi Fountain, and then resell it door to door.
THE TASK
1) Go to the indicated coordinates and take a photo of you, in which you can clearly see the Facchino Fountain, and possibly showing a piece of paper with the name of the country you come from (even a flag would be appreciated!).
2) As an alternative to point 1, if you don't want to show your face, the photo must contain a piece of paper with your nickname.
