Nationalpark Thy blev indviet 22. august 2008 som Danmarks første af sin art. Grundlaget var bl.a. det klitlandskab, som denne cache er omgivet af. I de følgende år fulgte så øvrigt indhold, såsom skiltning og bedre adgang til nationalparken i form af f.eks. cykelstier. Begge dele er meget synlige her ved nationalparkens nordlige grænse.

Thy National Park was inaugurated on 22 August 2008 as Denmark's first of its kind. The basis was i.a. the dune landscape that this cache is surrounded by. In the following years, other content followed, such as signage and better access to the national park in the form of e.g. cycle paths. Both parts are very visible here at the national park's northern border.
