I have logged numerous Virtual Caches at airports around the United States and when I was selected to place a Virual Cache in 2024, I knew exactly where I wanted to place it!
On May 22, 2024 the new Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport Terminal at Schweitzer Field opened. The old terminal had limited parking and one gate. The new terminal has a ton of parking and multiple gates. The new terminal was funded by federal funds and donations from the local area including the cities of Pullman, WA and Moscow, ID and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. Washington State University and the University of Idaho also contributed.
WSU and U of I students and staff are large users of the airport and at the cache coordinates you will need to choose which school logo is your favorite. Are you a Cougar or are you a Vandal? For this cache, visit the airport and park in the terminal parking (first 2 hours are free) and walk to the coordinates. To log this cache, include a picture of either the WSU or U of I logo with a thumbs up (your face not required) or a paper with your geocaching user name in front of a logo.
