Bygda Koppangen ligger utsatt til for naturfenomenet jøkulhlaup. Dette oppstår når en innsjø er oppdemmet av en isbre brister. Cachen ligger rett ved den gamle butikken i bygda. Etter at den ble lagt ned ble den brukt som ungdomshus.
Utleggsdatoen er Tromsøs soldag. På denne dagen kommer sola tilbake etter vinteren og ble i COs barndom feiret med solbolle/skillingsbolle på barneskolen.
CO har to sommerhus i Lyngen som er overtatt etter foreldres famiilie.
The small village of Koppangen outmost on the east coast of the Lyngen peninsula is situated between the mountain of Koppangen 1140mtr and Goalborri 950mtr. Yhe cache is close to the old grossery store of Koppangen first open in 1952 by Fjellstad. He run the store until late 1970s when new owner took over and after few years moved the shop to Drabeng about 7km further in.
Today not in use due to it's coindition and lack of maintence.
Koppangen has 5 habitants living there all year around.
The area has great fishing oppertunites along the costal line and you can get fish like cod, hallibut, "småsei" little saith.
