Lamium galeobdolon, commonly known as yellow archangel, golden dead-nettle, artillery plant, aluminium plant, or yellow weasel-snout, is a widespread wildflower in Europe, and has been introduced elsewhere as a garden plant. It looks a bit like a stinging nettle, but doesn't sting, which may have led to the name. The most common variant has silvery patches on its leaves (as in the picture) - this was a garden variety but has escaped to the wild. It is found in woodlands and hedgerows and has yellow "hooded" flowers which grow close to the stem.
It is native to Europe, and found through Europe and Western Asia.
