The Flower Power series consists of 3 approximately circular routes centred on Shepshed, plus some extras in the town (which may be expanded on in future). All 3 routes can be muddy, sometimes extremely muddy. One will include a short stretch of roadside walking on a wide verge.
Free parking is available off Brittania Street in the town centre, at Oakley Road playing fields at the north west corner of the town or on street parking away from the town centre.
The yellow iris (Iris pseudoacorus), also known as the yellow flag iris or the water flag is a flowering plant commonly found across Europe. It is associated with the French fleur-de-lis. It grows best in very wet ground, ans so is associated with wetlands and ponds. It grows to 100-150cm, with each stem producing 2-3 bright yellow flowers in May to July.
