Murphy is my 2-year old Golden Retriever and is a great geocaching companion. He loves the trail, thrives on bushwhacking and thoroughly enjoys a good siesta in the Bronco after a long day of running through the woods. I have placed 50 + geocaches in Bear Brook through the years and now that we are allowed to place them again I figured I would place another one after clearning our the southwest section of the "park" over the last few days. I know that the southern part of what is considered Bear Brook is actually a veritable jigsaw puzzle of contiguous land tracts. Murphy's birthday is 1/27/2022 and he weighs 79 pounds.
Many of my Bear Brook hides involve an erratic and a small tree but as I needed to be very specific about my placement of this geocache as to not overlap with any of the 4 nearby placements, the hide is a camoflauged (black duct tape) medication bottle that is wired to a vigorous looking pine tree with at least a 15+- inch diameter. I always struggle with the appropriate size. Is it a large micro or a small small? I"ll go with the former.
