Geocache Description:

21 February 2024, 18:30 - 21:00

PLEASE NOTE THE REVISED DATE TO AVOID CLASHING WITH VALENTINES DAY!

The Woodpecker, London Road, Waterlooville, PO7 7RL

This Event will be the first opportunity to WIN the new Hampshire Geocoin.

To find us, enter through the main door (up the short flight of steps) close to the junction with Rowlands Avenue and head towards the open area on your left-hand side.  For those of you who would prefer a step-free entrance, there is one to the right of the steps.

The pub car park can be accessed from just inside Rowlands Road, and there are bus stops close by which are served by the First Solent number 8 bus from Gunwharf Quays / Gosport Ferry Terminal / Portsmouth Harbour Station to Clanfield via City Centre, Cosham, Queen Alexandra Hospital, Waterlooville and Clanfield.

There is no need pre-order food here if you wish to eat, please look on the pub website.

There will be the usual good raffle (£1 a strip of 5 tickets) and the large wooden treasure chest will be available for the swapping and discovering of Geocoins and Travel Bugs.

If you have not been to an event cache before and would like to experience something different, then please come along and enjoy yourself. We are a very friendly bunch and promise not to bite. If you are shy about coming alone, please do not hesitate to contact us through our Geocaching profile and we can meet you outside to welcome you in.

Other Cachers will be on hand to listen to tales of your caching adventures (both good and bad) and also maybe offer some assistance with those tricky puzzle caches that have you flummoxed!

Children will be made very welcome, provided that they are kept under control!

Any questions? Please feel free to drop us an email or message us via our profile if your require any further information.

We look forward to seeing you all.

Linda and Roger
