At this location you will find a sign near where the Kalangadoo Homestead once occupied. All that is left standing is a old tree.
Kalangadoo Homestead
Built by Alick and James Hunter in 1846. They were the first European owners of Kalangadoo Station, lease 147 of 60 square miles. The land was previously occupied for many thousands of years by the Bungandidj Aboriginal people.

This photograph was taken in 1856, shows a view of the first home built in the district.
