Cache was hidden along the Carpenter Nature Center-Wisconsin Campus' Acorn Trail, prior to the 2024 Hudson Hot Air Affair. The theme this year is "Rockin' with the Coldies". Container is a micro in a smallish body. Permission for the hide was given by Alan Maloney, Naturalist/Volunteer Coordinator, Carpenter Nature Center.

This is a Field Puzzle. You will likely need a bit of time to solve it. Relax and feel your way...eventually you will succeed. You MUST sign the log to claim the find. Loggers that do not sign the log sheet will have their entry deleted.
The Hudson Hot Air Affair is the premier winter ballooning event and winter festival in the Midwest. Thousands of visitors head to the St. Croix Valley community in west central Wisconsin and local residents make it a homecoming every year on the first full weekend in February. About 30 colorful hot air balloons, including special shapes, launch in mass ascensions Saturday and Sunday mornings and light up the night at the Saturday evening Moon Glow or Field of Fire. Balloonists traditionally attend from Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska.
