Bonesaw really enjoys clever puzzles and while I am not known for making those, I will attempt to make one that is more challenging than my usual puzzles.
There were a couple of Johns who made their career as repairmen. The Johns had a friend named Julian who was consistent about 75 percent of the time. They got together frequently, with the twenty-first usually being the prime day to meet. Every once in a while, they would be a day later.
One day, they were talking about Numbers and one of the Johns said his was 4831092 plus six more while the other John said his was 528884819 with seven more. They said these represented happy events, and have helped them with their business, even if all they need has nothing, null, zero before and after them.
One would have been the first time the public news was heard, and the other was the last time it would be heard. While Julian enjoyed listening to their story about Numbers, he preferred the one before that.
One day when they all got together for beers, Julian told the Johns how he looks for links between things and just made a timely discovery. He said ar and mn had a common connection with va and ne. He told his friends this helped him find the quote that should be shared with everyone. The Johns agreed with Julian, and they stood up from the table, clinking their glasses and cheering.
The two Johns and Julian left to celebrate the day by geocaching. They only found one geocache that day that was hidden in Allentown, PA.
Enter the last names of the two Johns, in alphabetical order, plus the year mentioned in Julians quote into certitude. Here is an example “kirk-spock-first” being sure to place a dash between the answers.
You can validate your puzzle solution with
