Geocache Description:

I like puzzles, cars and geocaching.  This hide mashes up all three.  I hope you enjoy the ride!

First, the cache is not hidden at the published location.   Second, BYOP.  Third, the cache container is about 1 engine block off the ground.  Fourth, this cache is placed in a typical retail space that is accessible 24/7/365.

The core of this puzzle is to determine the firing-order of several engines. This concept should be familiar territory for the automotive enthusiast.  It may prove to be a fun discovery exercise for everyone else. What is firing order? Firing order definition: the sequence of ignition in the cylinders of an internal-combustion engine. Let's consider a simple four-cylinder in-line engine. Where the cylinders are numbered typically from left-to-right as 1, 2, 3, 4. The firing-order does not have to follow this layout convention. It may, but in most cases it will not. For our example using this four-cylinder engine the FIRING ORDER shall be noted as 1-3-2-4. Solving these puzzles will require understanding the subtle difference between cylinder layout order and when each cylinder is fired or the FIRING ORDER of the engine. Let's try an example to convey this crucial point. What is the cylinder value in the 3rd firing position or simply position? Answer 2. What is the cylinder value in the 4th position? Answer 4. This may help you. The name of the company that built the engines used in the puzzles is commonly known by two letters.  The name is the 7th and 13th letters of the alphabet respectively. Good luck!

Cache is a P&G LPC in a typical retail environment accessible 24/7/365.

What is the firing order?

A --> 1969 - 1974 - 350SBC, Corvette

B --> 194, 230, 250 Inline 6

C --> 2.2L all years - Inline 4

Enter your answers like so:

#-#-#-#___#-#-#-#___#-#-#-#

Be sure to enter the total number of cylinders for your responses as appropriate.

Here's an example:

1-3-5-4-2-6___8-6-7-5-2-1-4-3___4-2-3-1

Places dashes or hyphens between cylinder values and three (3) underscores between your answers.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
