Geocache Description:

The Nobeyama Radio Observatory of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan is a "sacred place" for Japanese radio astronomy.
Japanese radio astronomy, which was born in the early postwar period, has developed to the world-class level through the observation of solar radio waves and cosmic radio waves using the 45-m radio telescope here at Nobeyama.
Nobeyama Plateau is located at an altitude of 1,350 meters above sea level and has a low water vapor content. It is also surrounded by mountains and flat terrain, and although it is a cold region, there is little snow, making it an ideal location for radio wave observations. The main observation instruments on the premises are a 45-meter radio telescope and a solar radio wave strength polarimeter. The Millimeter Wave Interferometer and the Radio Heliograph, which are no longer in scientific operation, are also on display on the premises. Each telescope has its own characteristics and has been active in observation in its area of expertise.

This cache is a multi-cache.
Please collect the numbers A~E in the Nobeyama Observatory area and enter them here as a sequence of numbers.
Reservations are not required to enter the area, but please check the opening hours.

Please bring your own pen.
