Bő évszázadon át fák között, kicsit távol a külvilág zajától itt áll a magyar lovagiasság példaértékű emlékhelye, az esztergomi Honvédtemető. Itt az 1848-as szabadságharc alatt az esztergomi kórházban és a város környéken dúlt heves harcok során elhunyt ... "A" ... magyar honvéd és százhetvenöt osztrák katona közös jeltelen sírja főlé emelt síremlékei találhatóak. 2000-ben a millennium tiszteletére létesítettek - különféle anyagi támogatásokkal - egy emlékparkot. A faültetők nemzeti összefogást tükröző hosszú sorát külön emlékkő jelöli. Mostanra lakópark veszi körül a béke e parányi szigetét itt e téren. 

For more than a century, among the trees, a little far from the noise of the outside world, here stands the exemplary memorial of Hungarian chivalry, the Esztergom Military Cemetery. Here are the common unmarked graves of ... "A" ... Hungarian soldiers and one hundred and seventy-five Austrian soldiers who died during the 1848 war of independence in the Esztergom hospital and during the fierce battles around the city. In 2000, in honor of the millennium, a memorial park was established - with various financial support. The long line of tree planters reflecting the national unity is marked by a separate memorial stone. Now a residential park surrounds this tiny island of peace here on this square.
